Turkish Apricots have a bright, sweet-tart flavor and vivid orange color. Apricot fruit is fat free, very low in sodium, cholesterol free, high in vitamin A, and are good source of potassium. Apricots are related to peaches, but are smaller and smoother with a sweeter, more mellow flavor. Apricots are dried with sulfur dioxide to preserve the natural orange color and freshness.
