Apricots have a bright, sweet-tart flavor and vivid orange color. Apricots are fat free, very low in sodium, cholesterol free, high in vitamin A and are a good source of potassium. Apricots are related to peaches, but are smaller and smootehr with a sweeter, more mellow flavor. Apricots are dried with sulfur dioxide to preserve the natural orange color and freshness.
